The Braves won both the girls and the boys portion of the meet. On the girls side, BMS totaled 216.5 points to easily outdistance second place Washington Irving with 128 points, while the boys had a tougher go of it with 126 points to get past Miller Junior High with 121 and WI with 103. Seven teams competed in the girls competition. Nine teams were in place for the boys. On the girls side of the slate, Lauren Gilbert and Jenna Fogg led the way in the individual events. Gilbert won the 100-meter dash (13.95 seconds) and the 400-meter dash (1:02.58), while Fogg took first in the 1600-meter run (5:57.83) and the 3200-meter run (13:18.32). Those two werent the only ones winning individual events. Amanda Fischer won the 800-meter run (2:41.25), Marie Conley took the 75-meter hurdles (14.51) and Lora Gallagher won the high jump (4 feet, 6 inches). On the relay side, the Braves won two events. BMS took the 4x100-meter relay (57.75) and the 4x800-meter relay (11:03.67) For the boys, victory was achieved thanks to a strong individual showing by Matt Wilson and an equally strong showing in the relays. inches) and the high jump (5 feet, 8 inches).
